About
Jelena Dementjeva (Rosalinda) is a Spanish flamenco and oriental belly dance performer and teacher, choreographer, graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre (LMTA) Department of Dance Arts and Pedagogy, Klaipėda University.
Jelena founded the Dance and Creativity House "Rosalinda" in Klaipėda, leads and conducts dance classes at the Famenco Dance School "Rosalinda". She regularly participates in Spanish flamenco cultural activities in Lithuania and abroad, organizes educational classes for the public, conducts flamenco and oriental dance classes, dance movement therapy and dynamic meditation classes, and implements stage performances.
Experience
Jelena Dementjeva (Rosalinda) has been dancing since childhood. Her first solo dance performance on stage was when she was only five years old.
The dancer has a rich experience in dancing - she has tried various dance genres: pop, classical (ballet), historical, contemporary, street, jazz, character, sports, LA and Lithuanian folk dance.
In 2003, Jelena became very interested in oriental bellydancing. In 2007, she won 1st place in the Instructor Professional Solo nomination at the International Festival-Competition "Vilnius Orientalis". In 2007 - 2010, the dancer actively participated in International Oriental Dance Festivals (Latvia, Estonia) and took prizes in the professional performers nomination.
Jelena gained experience from such oriental dance professionals as Lina Kusiene (Naima), Khaled Mahmoud, Nour, Yasser Al-Swery, Zeina, Tito, Aleksey Ryaboshapka, Pille Roosi, Cinzia Purrificato and others.
Since 2012, the dancer has been practicing the art of flamenco dance. In 2018, she won the audience favorite prize at the International Flamenco Festival "Ole!". To date, she has participated in different dance festivals, such as "United Dance Nations", and has won prizes.
In 2019, she interned at the Spanish (Seville) flamenco cultural center "Flamenqueria" and danced on the tablao stage of this center.
Jelena gained experience from flamenco dance professionals such as Marina de Flamenco, David Perez, Antonio Najarro, La Truco, Carmen La Talegona, La Lupi, Olga Pericet, Guadalupe Torres, Melisa Soledad Maciuk, Blanca Perdiguer, Katerina Kovtun, Gabriel Aragu, Luis de Utrera, El Tabanco and others.
Since 2020, Jelena Dementjeva is a member of the International Flamenco Teachers Association "Escuela de Flamenco de Andalucia" (EFA, Spain) and the official representative of EFA in Lithuania.
